This policy explains what information Birch Run Consulting collects through this website and how it is used.

Information you give us

If you fill in a form on this site, we receive what you type, typically your name, email address, phone number and message. We use it to respond to your enquiry and to keep a record of our correspondence. We do not sell it, and we do not share it with anyone except service providers who help us operate this site.

Information collected automatically

With your consent, this site uses Google Analytics to understand which pages people visit. It sets cookies and records a truncated version of your IP address. With the same consent, your browser tab keeps a list of the blog posts you read during the visit, cleared when you close the tab, and sends it to Google Analytics if you click a booking or email link. Nothing is loaded until you accept, and declining leaves the site fully functional. You can change your mind by clearing this site's data in your browser.

When you click a booking or email link, the site records the click on our own server without cookies: the time, the page you were on, the link you clicked, the website that referred you, any campaign tags in the page address, and whether you were on a phone, tablet or computer. It does not record your IP address or anything that identifies you or your device. We use it to see which pages lead to conversations.

If you choose to schedule a conversation, the booking link opens Microsoft Bookings, a Microsoft service with its own privacy policy.

Form submissions

Form submissions are processed by our hosting provider and forwarded to us by email. They are retained in our email records for as long as we need them to serve you.

Your choices

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us at contact@birchrunconsulting.com and we will respond promptly.

Children

This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect their information.
